My family had the pleasure of working with Jen May the fall of 2011. We are still overwhelmed by her ability to capture the simple moments of love in our family. Jen is fantastic to work with and you will love the results and the timeless pictures she takes.

Jen May is a truly gifted photographer. My fiance and I have booked her for our wedding next year after a friend from California told us about her amazing shots. She happened to be doing a shoot in the NYC area and we booked her for our engagement photos.

Being two people in the medical field who have very little in the way of creativity and "natural feel" in front of a camera, she not only eased our nervousness and anxiety, but provided a truly laid back and professional environment for our shoot. Without much to guide her in the way of what we were looking for (we are two very indecisive individuals), she did an amazing job of spontaneously creating scenes and looks for us in a professional manner and guided us through the shoot. It was apparent by the end, that she had put considerable time and energy into creating a flow prior to ever meeting with us, just by a few emails back and forth.

I can't wait for her to shoot our wedding. She has an amazing talent, a perfect blend of guiding her clients and just naturally catching life in action.

Jen May is AMAZING! She photographed my engagement and bridal shower. The pictures turned out great. She captured every detail of the decor and every emotion displayed by myself and my guests. Honestly, i dont know how she did it being that she was the only photographer. Choosing a wedding photographer is a big decision, so I hope to give some information and feedback that will be helpful. Jen May was the photographer for my wedding this summer, and I would highly recommend her. My wedding pictures were very important to me--I didn't want to just have a bunch of snapshots, but photographs that would capture the details and emotions of our wedding. I was very satisfied with Jen May's work. She is also very fun and does a great job of making you feel comfortable in front of the camera. I was a bit worried because I don't think I'm naturally very photogenic--but you'd never know looking at her pictures! Jen May did a great job of taking very flattering and lovely photos of my husband and I as well as our whole wedding party.

As part of the process she will talk with you about your wedding, finding out your story and what is most important to you. I found her to be very creative and understanding of what we wanted our wedding to be like--which I think helped her to capture it on film. She has a variety of different packages and includes engagement photos as well--and is also flexible to work with your personal needs or special requests. She is thorough and made sure to photograph the important details of the wedding, as well as important people and family. She was available throughout the entire day (actually starting with the rehearsal dinner the day before and continuing on to wedding preparations, ceremony, reception, and saying goodbyes afterwards) to get every special moment and whenever we needed a special "group shot" or photo with a particular person.

She arrived early to "scout" out the area and find the best settings for photos. We had our wedding and reception at my church which I didn't think was the best backdrop or setting for pictures, but she saw things with a different eye and found some lovely and unique spots for pictures. She also worked with our timing and schedule, and was very efficient--which was good since it was a hot day and we didn't want to be outside too long! She edited the photos in a timely manner, and even sent us the disc all the way to the UK, where I moved soon after the wedding..

If you're looking for a quality photographer that is definitely what you'll find with Jen May. I would highly recommend her for your wedding or other special event.

Jen May is an amazing photographer. She is so fun and easy to work with.. She really captures your moments, and helps people who didn't attend the event feel like they were there. Leading up to the wedding, I was nervous that my wedding pictures would come out "plastic-y" and posed. Since I don't consider myself to be uber-photogenic, I worried that I wouldn't feel comfortable enough to be natural in front of a photographer I barely knew.

I needn't have worried. Jen May put me at easy right from the start. It was so much fun gallivanting around Seattle with her for our engagement shoot; She even had photos to display that same night at our rehearsal.

And we are oh-so-happy with our photos...they capture our love and our playfulness in an artistic and fresh way.
